Mike Douglass was born and raised in Southern California. In 1986, at the age of 13, a friend exposed him to the music of Rush, providing him with an enduring admiration and respect for the progressive genre. His influences are wide-ranging and multitudinous, but he counts among them Rush, Dream Theater, Opeth, Pink Floyd, Tool, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Katatonia, Hans Zimmer and a catalog of artists too numerous to list.
