Mellophone were formed in the spring of 2002. Being old friends and "playmates", the idea of forming a really cool band together seemed pretty obvious. So we sat down, had another cup of coffee and decided to give it a go. Pretty soon we found ourselves out on The Antfarm, recording a few of Thomas´ tunes The general concept of the band is to play music. Homegrown. Not exactly short, but definitely to the point. "We are a rock-band, with a great focus on the good melody… - and stuff!"
