Mekhis Qandakeba (მეხის ქანდაკება in Georgian, Thunder's Statue in English) were Georgian rock band established in 1992 and disbanded in 1996. Original lineup of the band consisted of Zura Nafetvaridze (vocal), Leon Manveli (guitar), Papuna Saralidze (keyboards), Zura Barkhudanashvili (bass) and Gela maisuradze (drums). After Gela’s departure to Moscow in 1994, Giorgi Khucishvili replaced him. Mevlud Maisuradze also played on a bass for a while. All of them were from Telavi, Georgia.
