Originally founded in 2002 in Gainesville, Florida, as a Piano/Acoustic collaborative effort between two college dorm-mates, Tim Hazen and Collin Whitlock. The two quickly decided to recruit a percussionist, Jake McMullen, and eventually a bassist, Steve Lincoln, to fill out their sound.
