‘How Do You Do’ was inspired by the book ‘Peoplewatching’, a guide to body language, by British zoologist Desmond Morris. The book was a leaving present from her best friend in England and served as a companion during her first years in Berlin up to the present. The title, an old English greeting, is welcoming but also has a double meaning. The book describes human differences and similarities, cultural and inborn, as well as general human habits.
