Marcela Morello (whose stage name is Marcela Morelo, also known as "La Morelo") was born on Lanús, Buenos Aires on 13 December 1964. She currently has recorded eight studio albums, a live album and a Greatest Hits compilation ("Los 20 de Morelo"), her first music albums promove latin music, mixed with pop, rock, ballads and folklore, through the use of andin instruments, such as charango, quena and sikus (also known as "Flauta de Pan" or "zampoña"), among others.

The song which gained recognition for her at first was "Corazón salvaje", and then "La fuerza del engaño", both from her debut studio album "Manantial".
