Mankinds Audio Development was an offshoot of Play Dead in that it featured Rob Hickson on vocals and Pete Waddleton on bass. Backing vocals were provided by Look Back In Anger's Mich Ebeling; the solitary 12" was produced by John Fryer and released on Criminal Damage. Rob Hickson's vocals are instantly recognisable while the overall musical sound is not dissimilar to a New Order 12" B-Side.
