Makcim was born in Moscow in the year 1979. During his childhood he listened to Philip Glass, Steve Reich, Joy Division, Pink Floyd, Russian Classic and many more.. At the age of 12 he moved to the Netherlands. Since 1996 Makcim started buying records frequently after he got inspired by the music in the house scene. In 1999 he got his first residency in a bar in Eindhoven called ‘De Hoogste Tijd’.
