Mahount is a composer/songwriter/percussionist that was born in Colombia. At the age of 5 he was adopted to Norway,and he grew up in Fredrikstad . As a child he was a big fan of Quincy Jones and Walter Afanasieff. But during the teens it was hip-hop and especially breakdance that made Mahount so focused on music. At the age of 17 he study circus at a folk high school, and there he was introduced into making music on PlayStation.
