Magnum K.I. is original boom bap hip hop. Built from the ground up by Winnipeg's DJ Kutdown and Ismaila Alfa. Originally a percussionist and keyboard player Ismaila Alfa's life was taken over by hip hop in 1985. He joined forces with Winnipeg hip hop pioneers Frek Sho in '93 and continued to record and tour with the "Freks" through the 90s. In 2000 DJ Kutdown joined Frek Sho.
