longmo is an soundart project by swiss artist Roland Hausheer. Born 1968 in Zurich he studied arts and design at HGK Zurich. While mainly working with visual media, he was always interested in sound as media. In the mid-90's he started to experiment with audio sofware like Max / MSP to create generative sound environments. His compositions made of sound particles from natural and synthetic sources are influenced by the idea of permanent change and tranformation. Chance operations play an important part in the process of sound creation and composition.
