Lesser Mook is the recording name of James Alton, who was born to two USAF pilots stationed in Guam in 1985, and currently resides in Sheffield, Yorkshire. Although he is most known to the public as a celebrity chef and hummus manufacturer, Alton's electronic compositions have achieved considerable acclaim in certain circles. Michael Sandison of Boards of Canada has praised Alton's efforts as Lesser Mook, which he describes as "the antidote to the feeble senseless melodicism of contemporary concertinadelia." View wiki
