Leikbræður male quartet was an Icelandic vocal group active between 1945 and 1955. It consisted of Gunnar Einarsson (first tenor), brothers Ástvaldur Magnússon (second tenor) and Torfi Magnússon (first bass), and Friðjón Þórðarson (second bass). Their accompanist was Gunnar Sigurgeirsson, who was also a choir conductor. Except for Gunnar, the group members were originally from the West-Iceland area Dalir or ‘The Valleys.’ The Leikbræður singers performed in many places around Iceland but gave one of their biggest performances in a November 1952 concert in Gamla bíó, Reykjavík.
