Last to Begin was formed in January of 2006 in the southeastern Wisconsin/northeastern part of Illinois. It consisted of two members at the time Joshua "Pik" Bublitz who is from Lake County, IL and Eric Laubinger who is from Lake Geneva, WI area. Both members had previous solo projects and both had played in several other bands before meeting. When they first had heard each other play it just seemed like the one thing they were missing musically in their own projects was each other.
