Kolowrat are a Slovak indie-rock band formed in 1999. They recorded a couple of demo tapes before releasing their debut album 'Vrany sa vracajú' ('Crows Are Returning') on the Slovak indie label Slnko Records in 2006. The same label published their 2006 LP 'Slnko je vo veži' ('The Sun Is in the Tower') and the 2013 album 'Pobiť sa/utiecť' ('Fight/Flight'). Kolowrat are based in Košice, the second largest city in the east of the country. They are renowned for their unique brand of melancholy 'urban poetry.'
