Kingfishr is an Irish indie folk group formed in Limerick in 2022 by Eddie Keogh (vocals, guitar), Eoghan 'McGoo' McGrath (banjo), and Eoin 'Fitz' Fitzgibbon (bass). The three band members met at the University of Limerick. The dissolution of Keogh's previous band, elm094, gave space for the three to convene on a new project. The friends grew listening to Mumford and Sons and U2. They then moved on musically to the likes of Dermot Kennedy, Ben Howard, We Banjo 3, and Bear’s Den.
