Bahriye Tokmak (born 10 August 1960), better known by her stage name Kibariye, is a Turkish Arabesque-pop singer. She was born in the Kapaklı village of Akhisar, Manisa Province, to Doğan and Makbule Tokmak, in a Romani family. At birth, her parents were not yet married, and her birth year was recorded as 1959; in 1981 she applied to the court and corrected her birth date to 1960. She had eight siblings, and due to financial hardship, she did not attend formal school. Her singing career began in the 1970s when she performed in clubs and pavilions.
