His homemade recordings in kitchens, stairwells and hotel rooms all over the world are intimate and soulful, emphasing lyrics, simple acoustic guitar, and multi-tracked choral harmonies. Jody's influences are numerous and diverse, and include acousitc folk and singer-songwriter music of the last several decades, Jamaican music, Chinese underground, hip-hop, old country, bachata and much more.
