"Music has moved me for as long as I can remember. I have been told that I sang before I was able to talk. By the time I was 18 I had learned the piano, violin and various percussion instruments, such as marimba. At the age of 18, I moved into songwriting. I learned enough on the acoustic guitar to get me writing. At the time, I was inspired by Edie Brickell so the first recorded song consisted of only acoustic guitar and vocals.
