Jaap Aap (or Jaap Aap en De Apen) is one of the pseudonyms of the Dutch comedian, singer and TV personality André van Duin, applied only to his 1989 single 'Mijn Naam Is Jaap'. It was a huge hit in The Netherlands, as a double A-sided single with 'De Groetjes Van Ruud', credited to Van Duin himself. The Jaap Aap character had his own TV show. 'Mijn Naam Is Jaap' was released as a single, and later featured on the album 'Animal Crackers'. This album featured a slightly different version of the song, with the addition of Jody's Singers.
