We all need an escape route and my turbulent childhood led me to the one thing that helped me deal with the turmoil and depression, music. I loved singing along to some old 8 tracks we had. I also was in my church’s junior choir, but my favorite was making up my own stuff. I use to pretend to be in concert performing to trees and weeds down my country road. I used a wooden potato masher for a mic. After I discovered I was pretty snappy at making stuff up when I was about ten I started putting stuff on paper.
