Howard Phillips Lovecraft (20 August 1890 - 15 March 1937), a.k.a.,
H.P. Lovecraft (not to be confused with the
psychedelic rock band which took its name from the author), is probably best known as a writer of
weird fiction, though some believe his voluminous correspondence to be his greatest accomplishment. Many of his
