南弘明 (Hiroaki Minami, June 21, 1934) is a Japanese composer. Professor Emeritus of the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, he established the Japan Electronic Music Association in 1992 and is considered a pioneer of synthesizer music. Born in Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. He graduated from the Fukuoka Prefectural Yahata High School, and then graduated from the Tokyo College of Music.
