Henry was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. His deep interest in music didn't develop until he was 12 years old. This was when he first got a listen of Temecula based rock band Finch. This experience changed his perception of all music, having only listened to music and bands on the radio such as Sublime and Nirvana. Finch opened many doors to other bands for Henry, bands such as The Early November and Senses Fail.
