Heavy Hangs The Albatross is one of the fresh new sounds coming out of the DFW metal scene. Founded in early 2011 by lead guitarist Kevin Castro and drummer Andrew Boswell, Heavy Hangs The Albatross combines the forces of old school metalcore with the intensity of modern metalcore and post-hardcore to generate a style that hasn't been seen in today's scene. In November 2011, they released their first EP, receiving extremely positive reception by fans and fellow local acts. This is only the beginning. A second EP is in the works and has a tentative May release date. Stay tuned.
