"The Judge's Daughter" is the tenth and final track on Green Day's album 39/Smooth (1990). It was later included on the compilation, 1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours (1991). The Judges Daughter was written by Billie Joe Armstrong during his high school years about the feeling of love, and how it can be terrifying or debilitating the first time it strikes hard. Along with the rest of the album, The Judges Daughter tells the classic story of a boy who likes a girl. She doesn’t reciprocate the feelings.
