Justin was jamming with his friend Toby when they recorded a song known as 'The Art Of Goro' (Toby played all the tracks). They needed a band name for the song to credit, so Justin suggested 'Flaming Babies', but they ultimately decided on 'Burning Pinata'. Justin tried to find people to join his band, and managed to get his good friends Cody and Rory. They used Flaming Babies to name their band, until they got an even better one after hearing a story from their good friend Elliot, so they changed their name to 'Get In My Van'.
