Galaxy-Lin was a short-lived seventies progressive rock band from The Hague, The Netherlands. The group was the brainchild of guitarist and songwriter Robbie van Leeuwen, who established Galaxy-Lin following his departure from Shocking Blue, with which band he had enjoyed chart success worldwide ('Venus'). Tired of international touring, Van Leeuwen quit Shocking Blue in 1974 and started Galaxy-Lin, his progressive rock outing: in this new band he insisted on playing electric mandolin instead of guitar.
