Formed of Newbury school friends in 2005, indie bank FortyFives consisted of singer Paul Elliot, lead guitarist Jamie Wintrup, rhythm guitarist Harry Tomlinson, bassist TBC (Ryan??) and drummer of The Junglists, Tom Cullen. Oringinally branded as the Elliots, the band re-named as FortyFives with a more serious approach to their music. Playing local independent shows, the band amassed a cult following in the Newbury music scene which was, at the time, rich with ska, punk and metal bands, FortyFives cut a new path with their indie vibes, glam rock hair and tight jeans.
