Fearer from Emden, East Frisia, Germany were founded in 1995 by two ex-members (Tom Zorn, Frank Spinka) of a band called Vomiting Corpses (as might be known, the other members of which became Anasarca). After a couple of months bass player Carsten Kleen and drummer Alf Kluge joined the band and completed the first line-up. In the summer of 1996 the band went into the studio for the first time to record their 4-track-demo called "Mindless" which was distributed amongst the band and a couple of close friends only.
