Formed in 1999 in Lakeland, Florida, Ev Angel is most noted for being the beginnings of what would become Copeland. Singer Aaron Marsh, guitarist Tom Blair, bassist Jarrett Smith, and drummer Jason Kopp released a 7 song ep titled "A Beautiful Theme" in 2000. 2000 brought a lot of changes for the band; among them being the departure of Jarrett, who was replaced by James Likeness. Thus beginning the transition from Ev Angel to the band we know today as Copeland.
