In early 2011, memebers of a former local band (Israel Dominguez, Jesús Aguilar) got togheter to start a new band of their own, with the idea of mixing metal with orchestral arrangements, wich is why they started to play symphonic metal. The name "Eteheral Symphony" akes reference to the orchestral character of the band. Shortly before coming out with the name they invited the keyboard player, Derek Ávila to join them.
