Ekow Alabi Savage was born in the late fifties in Cape Coast Ghana and began playing drums at the tender age of five years. With friends he founded a school band called "ANABO" and at the age of 16 he was "the small boy drummer", playing with the famous "SWEET BEANS BAND" in Ghana. He played with international known african bands and musicians like Mano Dibango and Fela Kuti.
