Egor were a British underground band that was formed in the early seventies and once opened for Black Sabbath. Although obviously blues rooted, their sound was considerable heavier than most bands at the time, laying the foundation for what would later become known as heavy metal. They contributed the track 'Street' to the 'Downer Rock Genocide' compilation album.
