"Drivin' on 9" is a song written by Steve Hickoff and Dom Leone that was initially recorded in Youngstown, Ohio, by their band Ed's Redeeming Qualities in around 1988/89 for a demo tape called "Ed's Kitchen" . Never officially released, it circulated amongst fans and critics (especially in the Boston area).
