Musician, actor and dancer Earl Wilson came to Norway in 1965 from New York, USA and was hired as an actor and dancer by Det Norske Teatret in Oslo. Soon after Wilson met Arild Wickstrom at the legendary 60’s Jazz club, Club 7 and the duo decided to form an R&B band; Little Earl & the Sapphires. The Sapphires consisted of Tommy Merg and Nils Bjorness on guitars, Svein Hansen bass, Tom Karlsen drums, Wickstrom organ and a horn section.
