Often called "The Brett Up Kids", The Disco Kids were part of the late 90's Emo movement in Detroit Michigan. Pretty much a straight Get Up Kids meets Seaweed rip, their lyrics dealt with abusive drinking, and getting dumped. Boo F'ing hoo. They gave way to Radio Holiday, a band the main songwriter Brett Fratangelo would form with the drummer Rick Butinski. Other guitar player and vocalist Steve Kay was most notably in Capture the Flag. He also knows guys from the Jeffry Truck. Not braggin or anything.
