Die Wiener Band Diamond Seas wurde 2016 von den drei Musikern mk – auch bekannt als Martin Konvicka, ckk – Christian Kisler im bürgerlichen Namen – und tw, ausgeschrieben Tobias Wurscher, gegründet. Dass so schnell bereits ein erstes Album vorliegt, ist jedoch nicht verwunderlich, immerhin ist Martin Konvicka kein Frischling im Geschäft und manchen vielleicht bereits als Mitglied der Wiener Post-Rocker Lehnen, den ebenfalls aus Wien stammenden und dem Noise-Rock verfallenen the who the what the yeah oder den im Shoegaze angesiedelten Snoww Crystal bekannt.
