DDR was a Norwegian rock band which performed covers of Norwegian songs in German. The band was fronted by lead singers Atle Antonsen (Attila), Johan Golden (Junghanz) and Berit Boman (Beritz). Their music is hugely based on humour, and the main purpose with the music according to the band was to front Norwegians understanding of former East Germany's cultural distinctiveness.
