Biography
Composed of David Baerwald and David Ricketts, the duo is best known for their hit Welcome to the Boomtown from the 1986 album Boomtown.
Boomtown had some commercial success, peaking at number 39 on the chart in December '86, eventually reaching certified gold in the US.
The group disbanded after that album.
Baerwald has released several solo albums - Bedtime Stories in 1990, Triage in 1993, and Here Comes the New Folk Underground in 2002. He wrote the song I'm Nuthin' performed by Ethan Hawke in the movie Reality Bites, and rec'd a Golden Globe nomination for the song Come What May from the Moulin Rouge (Soundtrack).
Both Davids collaborated with Sheryl Crow on her debut Tuesday Night Music Club.
