Born of a Tunisian father and a French mother, Dajla grew up in the west of France, on the ocean side, listening to her parents' record collection : soul, blues, arabic music, funk and jazz. Her encounter in 1992 with Fishbone's band members was to change her life for ever. A true combination of all she'd always listened to and loved, an astonishing bag of soul, jazz, blues, rock and p-funk.
