D'ERLANGER is a Japanese band that is one of the first visual kei bands and widely considered to be a part of and important to the formation of Visual Kei. The band created in 1982 formed in 1983 and had disbanded seven years later (apparently due to management issues) in 1990. Their guitarist, CIPHER, was only 15-16 years old at the time of their formation.
