Crush Tears is a Rock collaboration unit between RYO (声優) and YU (小林ゆう). Their first single, "閃光の瞬き (Senkou no Matataki)", was released in February 2010, followed by Communication Breakdown in July of the same year. Their debut album, Crush Tears I was later released in August 2010. They announced the release of their debut first album during the live performance at Liquid Room, Tokyo.
