Multiple Artists named Corcovado 1. Corcovado started as a lo-fi experimental indie duo in Grand Rapids, MI, releasing a self-titled album in 1999. In 2002, the band re-formed as a five-piece out of the development of basement jams. Their sound turned from the simple structures of demo-quality dream pop to a fuller, more complex indie shoegaze.
