Comrade Laika is a Shoegaze inspired electronic project started by Jerrod Preston. Trying to combine the odd-ended sounds of old video games, space travel and scratched Shoegaze vinyls lead to the 'Still Drifting' album which was written, composed and recorded in one night while the writer was digesting a heavy diet of 'Dune', The Angelic Process and 2001: A Space Odyssey. Influences include: My Bloody Valentine, Have A Nice Life, Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin, Rei Harakami, House of Low Culture, J Dilla and Dangermouse.
