Introduced to music at age three by her grandfather, who played enka, she later worked at a factory until winning a vocal audition in 2015 to join the idol group Maneki Kecak. Her career with the group included six singles, an album (Kimi Wazurai, 2018), and a concert DVD, all charting in Japan.
