Checkmate! formed in the city of Fresno, California (hometown to Let's Go Bowling, Los Hooligans). In 1993 they released the tape "It's Called Ska!", after 4 years the only album "Revelation" was released on a local label, Fresno's Crown Records. The album was include such guests / friends like Brian Dixon (See Spot, Rhythm Doctors, The Aggrolites) and Chris Murray. By the sound - excellent tradishional ska.
