Charly Lownoise (stage name of Ramon Roelofs) was born on June 17, 1968 in The Hague, Netherlands. Until 1987 his teenage years were dominated by disco and Italian music. His musical directions changed when he first heard house music on a summer holiday in Blanes, Spain. In 1992 he met Mental Theo, with whom he started making music.
