There are two Finnish groups called Charlies. 1. The Charlies were a psychedelic hard rock trio from Lahti that played from 1964-1975. They were ”Heavy bluestrio” that played long improvisational, over ten minute drum and bass solos which were quite rare during those times in Finland. Musical influences primarily came from Cream and Jimi Hendrix The Charlies was founded by bassist Kari “Pitkä” Lehtinen and guitarist Eero ”Ebro” Ravi in the year 1964.
