Cellular Dysfunction was started in 2006 by Andrew Thalmann, Sands Crawford, and Scott Fusco after they met at Penn State Wilkes Barre. Scotty played lead guitar, Sands rythm guitar (lead sometimes) and some vocals, and Drew played drums and did some vocals. They are still together, but have been playing less as of late. They are influenced by a lot of different bands and genres ranging from blues (Sands) to hardcore and punk (Drew) and metal (Scotty). Their sound combines these genres to form a sound that can be called unique and somewhat chaotic.
